The Kleinburg Nobleton Soccer Club is a non for profit, community based soccer club located in the City of Vaughan and Town of Nobleton. The club provides soccer development programs and leagues to players in recreational, development and competitive soccer. The club is experiencing a period of transition to accommodate increased growth in our membership base.
Job Description
- In alignment with the Ontario Soccer Long-Term Player Development Plan, develop and execute age appropriate training sessions
- Coaches may be responsible to oversee 1-2 Teams for training sessions and games during the indoor and outdoor seasons.
- Identify, recruit, and evaluate potential players to play on the highest level in Ontario
- Assist or substitute for other Coaches in training sessions and games as required throughout the year.
- Provide assessments to players three times per year as required by the Technical Division.
- Attend and/or conduct KNSC coaching education sessions as scheduled.
- Follow and abide by the KNSC Coach Code of Conduct, Employment Agreement, Philosophy, and curriculum
- Is required to actively manage their roster and deliver the curriculum as set out by KNSC
- Will actively communicate with parents/players and respond to all parent/player inquiries regarding the program
- Hold a minimum of two (2) parent meetings per year. These should occur at the beginning of the Fall/Winter season and the beginning of the Spring/Summer season in conjunction with the Technical Department
- Provide a fun, inclusive and engaging environment and learning experience for coaches & players
- The coach will be supplied with KNSC coaching attire and must be worn at training, games, festivals, etc.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Minimum: Soccer for Life/Making Ethical Decisions, Making Headway & Respect in Soccer, LTPD Certified
- C license or Grassroots Diploma preferred
- National B or higher considered an asset
- 3-8 years of soccer coaching experience with youth competitive players
- Strong coaching abilities and solid methodology
- Knowledge of a player’s tactical, technical, physical, and mental requirements
- Knowledge of the different stages of development in youth soccer players
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Computer knowledge and skills – email, Excel, Word
- CRB Police Check (Police Vulnerable Sector Check) required.
