The KNSC is very excited to announce that our 2nd Trillium Application has been approved. The KNSC’s application for the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s Resilient Communities Fund is focused on Keeping Girls in Sport and developing Female coaches and leaders.
This grant will address the need to attract and keep girls in sport following a publication from Canadian Women in Sport (July 13, 2021). Their survey reports that one in 4 Canadian girls are not committed to returning to sport post COVID-19.
The KNSC’s Keeping Girls in Sport and developing Women leaders will overcome many of the challenges identified in this survey by hiring additional female coaches with focused programming. All of our new girls programming will be introduced in the upcoming Outdoor 2022 season.
The KNSC’s application to the Ontario Trillium Foundation for the Community Building Fund – Operational Fund was approved in September 2021. This funding has assisted the KNSC in overcoming many of the operational challenges presented by COVID-19 and is instrumental in guiding the club through a determined and consistent financial recovery.
On behalf of the members, staff and Board of Directors of the Kleinburg Nobleton Soccer Club, we would like to thank MPP Stephen Lecce and the Government of Ontario for their continued support of our club, sport and community.
